Meet Our Team

All our staff are committed to the welfare, safety, health and happiness of the children in their care and attend training which is on going to meet the requirements within the childcare sector. Most of our staff are trained in first aid, safeguarding and hold a food hygiene certificate which are all updated when required.

Heidi - Nursery Director

Heidi originally set up Bookworms Day Care as child care for her own twin girls after being unsuccessful in finding a suitable nursery within the local area. Heidi is a MND - Motor Neurone Disease specialist nurse but left that behind to put everything into the nurseries.

Heidi works across all areas of the nursery and is our Senco manager.

Kylie - Bookworms Day Care Manager

Level: 5 - Kylie joined us in March 2013 and has over 20 years experience in working with children. She is Bookworms, Mental Health First aider, Fire Officer, Health & Safety Officer and Safeguarding Officer.

Carmen - Brickhouse Playgroup Manager

Level 5 - Carmen joined us in October 2013 and has over 10 years experience of working with children.

Caron - Deputy Manager

Level: 3 - Caron joined us in February 2013 and has over 12 years experience of working with children, she is also our behaviour management coordinator.

Lisa P - Nursery Cook

Level: 2 Food Hygiene - Lisa joined us in February 2013 and has over 17 years experience of catering for children and holds a level 2 food and hygiene safety certificate & Allergen awareness which enables her to prepare healthy nutritious meals on site. Lisa caters for all our children's individual requirements and needs such as, vegetarians, dairy intolerances, gluten free, dislikes to certain foods and more.

Dawn - Level 3

Dawn joined us in May 2013 and has over 9 years experience of working with children. Dawn is our creative member of our team.

Maisie T - Deputy Manager

Level 3 - Maisie joined us in September 2013 and has over 10 years experience of working with children. She is also our quality assessor.

Chloe W - Level 3

Chloe joined us in February 2014 and has worked really hard to work herself upto Little Caterpillar's room leader and Deputy Manager. Chloe has the role of our communication lead and suppoorts all age groups.

Cody - Level 3

Cody joined us in November 2016 and has over 8 years experience of working with children.

Maisie A - Level 3

Maisie joined us in March 2017 and has 6 years experience working in childcare.

Colleen - Level 3

Colleen joined us in December of 2019 and has 6 years experience working with children.
