Little Caterpillars is for children aged birth to 2yrs, working on a 1:3 ratio. The babies benefit from a home from home environment, following their home routine. The room is bright, warm and welcoming, giving the babies the opportunity to explore and have fun in the environment with our highly qualified staff. Staff do a variety of activities with the children from messy play to outdoor play. Staff in this room plan activities around the three prime areas of learning, Personal, Social & Emotional Development, Communication & Language and Physical Development.

When planning for these areas staff will ensure they have taken on board the child's interests by liaising with parents/carers.

All of our children will be assigned a key worker, they will observe and plan for that child ensuring that they are meeting your child's needs, also encouraging them to progress in their holistic development.

Staff work very closely alongside their parents/carers as they regularly send home 'child interest' every term. Having these forms allows staff to incorporate what your child enjoys doing at home into our daily routine.
