Gruffalos

Gruffalos room is for children aged 3-5 yrs, working on a ratio of 1:8, the room is spacious and has direct access to the garden, which the children have access to throughout the day no matter what the weather.

Our staff provide a wide variety of activities alongside the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum to prepare your child for the transitions into school. A range of activities, topics and experiences are planned and a variety of resources are used to promote children's knowledge, skills and understanding, across all  seven areas of learning in readiness for future school life.

They do key group time doing 'school ready' activities such as pencil control and numbers. They also base this around topics which are different each month. The children attend educational outings such as visits to the Library and investigation outings to our local park. We have good relationships with local schools to share knowledge of children before they go on to make their next big step in life at 'Big School'.
